The sleeping surface area for our Lite Cot is 72.5 x 23.5 in (185 x 60 cm). While it can fit adults who measure around 6' and support up to 320 lbs, this model is our smallest and designed to save pack space and weight. Browse our collection of Cots for a full rundown of our model specs and features.

Our Lite Cot is designed with strong DAC aluminum frames that support as much as 265 lbs (120 kg). Whether your a restless or deep sleeper, the durable bed fabric holds tight to provide lasting tension that won’t sag during the night.

The Lite Cot is approximately 5 in (13 cm) off the ground. This lower profile provides bed-like comfort and support while keeping down your pack weight. It's a win-win.

Our space-saving Lite Cot is designed for backcountry trips where every ounce counts. While it's not compatible with Leg Extensions, its lower and smaller profile means a better night's sleep is possible anywhere adventure takes you.

Yes, to make the cot even lighter it can be used with only 3 leg frames. In this case, the central frame must be fitted in the middle cut-out position. Helinox recommends the 3 leg setup only be used for children not adults.

Yes, that can possibly happen. If your tent is on hard ground and you toss and turn during the night, the resulting movement of the cot feet on the tent floor can cause damage. In this situation it is worth placing some extra padding between the cot and the tent floor.

To care for your cot and get the best sleep, the cot should be used on even ground. This may require careful placement or adding some extra padding under one or more legs.

Fabric parts should be hand washed in warm water using a mild detergent. Bed fabrics and carry bags are not machine washable. Ensure fabric is completely dry before packing away for storage.

Your cot should be stored in its original carry bag in a horizontal position in s dry location. Always ensure the cot is completely dry before placing into storage. Cots should never be stored damp or wet. Note that when folded into the carry bag, leg frames have exposed shock cord that be damaged if the bag is dropped on its end.

Yes, you can comfortably sleep on your side, or as you would normally sleep in a bed.

A cot will get you up off the cold, hard ground and crawling critters. That extra space also allows for better temperature regulation and can be used for additional storage. Our Leg Extensions increase this space by several inches for easier in and out and covered shelter for more of your gear.

It's always best practice to scope out even, solid ground for your campsite, but sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. Our Cots are designed with highly durable DAC aluminum that provides reliable support while you sleep, but for additional stability and peace of mind try adding some padding under one or more legs to help level any extra-rugged terrain.

We often recommend laying a ground sheet or padding between your cot and tent floor. Not only does this help with balanced support, it provides extra protection if you're tossing and turning during the night or if the ground under the tent has rocks or sticks with sharp edges.

Our Cots are designed with quality materials that provide long-lasting support and comfort. While a sleeping bag or blanket may be enough warmth and padding for some, others may prefer to bring a generic camping cot pad or our Insulated Pad for Cot One.

Any camping cot mattress pad that's at least 3-4 inches narrower than the full width of your Helinox cot will work. If you have a Cot One, check out our Insulated Pad.
